Early Intervention Therapist
Juniper Tree Autism Services · Athlone, Co. Roscommon · Full-time
About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Early Intervention Therapist to join our growing team at Juniper Tree Autism Services in Athlone, Co. Roscommon. You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based intervention to young children with autism and related developmental needs, working closely with families to support meaningful progress across all areas of development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to young children aged 0–6 with autism
- Design and implement individualised education programmes (IEPs) in collaboration with the clinical team
- Conduct ongoing assessments and track child progress across communication, social, academic and functional living skills
- Use evidence-based strategies including DTT, PRT, PECS, incidental teaching and differential reinforcement
- Collaborate closely with parents and families to support home generalisation
- Participate in team meetings, peer supervision and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education or a related field
- Minimum 1 year experience working with children with autism (ABA setting preferred)
- Knowledge of and experience with ABA-based intervention strategies
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with families
- Full, clean driving licence (preferred)
- BCBA or working towards certification is a distinct advantage
