About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Early Years Educator (Specialising in Autism Support) to join our growing team at Juniper Tree Autism Services in Athlone, Co. Roscommon. You will deliver high-quality, evidence-based support to young autistic children, working closely with families to support meaningful progress across all areas of development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group support sessions to young autistic children aged 2.5–12
- Design and implement individualised education programmes (SSPs) in collaboration with the clinical team
- Conduct ongoing assessments and track child progress across communication, social, academic and functional living skills
- Use evidence-based strategies to support child development
- Collaborate closely with parents and families
- Participate in team meetings, peer supervision and ongoing professional development
Requirements
- Degree in Psychology, Education or a related field
- Minimum 1 year experience working with autistic children
- Knowledge of and experience with support strategies
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with families
- Working towards certification is a distinct advantage
