Questions families often ask

No jargon, just honest answers.

Do we need a diagnosis to get started?

Not at all. Many families come to us while they’re still waiting for an assessment. We’re happy to chat with you at any stage and figure out together whether we can help.

What age groups do you work with?

We support children from 18 months through to 12 years. Early support can make a real difference, but it’s never too late to start — we tailor everything to your child’s age and needs.

How long do sessions last, and how often will my child need them?

Most one-to-one sessions are between 1 and 3 hours. How often your child comes depends entirely on their individual plan — we’ll talk this through with you before anything is set in stone.

Will I be involved in the therapy?

Absolutely — we think parent involvement is one of the most important parts. You’ll always know what we’re working on, and we’ll give you simple, practical things to try at home too.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with most major providers including Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. Give us a call and we’ll check your specific plan before you commit to anything.

What if my child doesn't take to a therapist straight away?

That’s completely normal and we fully expect it. Building trust takes time — especially for children with autism. We never rush the relationship, and if the fit really isn’t right, we’ll work with you to find someone better suited.

How long is the waiting list?

Current wait times for an initial assessment are typically 2–4 weeks. We’ll always be upfront with you about timelines, and we’ll keep you in the loop while you wait.

Ready to take the next step?

Not sure where to start? That’s completely fine. Give us a call or send a message — we’re happy to chat with no obligation.
