Questions families often ask

No jargon, just honest answers.

Do we need a diagnosis to get started?

Not at all. Many families come to us while they’re still waiting for an assessment. We’re happy to chat with you at any stage and figure out together whether we can help.

What age groups do you work with?

We support children from 2.5 years through to 12 years. Early support can make a real difference, but it’s never too late to start – we tailor everything to your child’s age and needs.

How long do sessions last, and how often will my child need them?

Most one-to-one sessions are between 1 and 4 hours. How often your child comes depends entirely on their individual plan – we’ll talk this through with you before anything is set in stone.

Will I be involved in the support?

Absolutely – we think parent involvement is one of the most important parts. You’ll always know what we’re working on, and we’ll give you simple, practical things to try at home too.

How much does it cost to access Juniper Tree's services?

We understand that cost is an important consideration for families. The good news is that our preschool services are funded through the Home Tuition Grant Scheme for Children with Special Educational Needs, a Department of Education programme. Under a group arrangement, the grant is paid directly to Juniper Tree – so there is nothing for families to arrange or pay upfront. You can simply focus on your child getting the support they need.
After School Child Care is subsidised by the NCS funding.

If you have any questions about funding or eligibility, please don’t hesitate to get in touch  we’re happy to help.

What if my child doesn't connect with their support worker straight away

That’s completely normal and we fully expect it. Building trust takes time – especially for autistic children.  We never rush the relationship, and if the fit really isn’t right, we’ll work with you to find someone better suited.

How long is the waiting list?

We’re currently accepting new referrals. Get in touch today and a member of our team will reach out to you within 24–48 hours to start the conversation.

Ready to take the next step?

Not sure where to start? That’s completely fine. Give us a call or send a message – we’re happy to chat with no obligation.
